TOP RECOMMENDATION WEB-DRAMA TO WATCH #1

How was your quarantine day? During #DiRumahAja we often got bored and don’t know what to do to make time flies. So watching drama it is. But if you got tired or just finished watching drama and want some fluffy story, less conflict, and quickly solving problems with the short episodes, then web-drama got you an answer. Web-drama also can give you relaxation from watching the drama with a lot of twists and theories. Another reason to see web-drama is that you will see how an actor or actress drama debut or their acting skill growth before they cast in real drama and become a star.

Web-drama is usually available on social media platforms like Youtube or V App with a short duration and no more than 16 episodes. But there’s a bunch of web-drama out there and if you are confused about what to watch first, here’s the list.

p.s. - I have tried my best to memorized and listed a few web-drama with the best plot and story.

·            - Please take a note that the list below is based on my personal preference

             - I also rate them based on the story, acting/cast, and rewatch value

·            - The list below is not in order/random

             - I divide it into few parts because there are too many good dramas and I want to     recommend all of them😁


  1. Love Playlist Series

So on the first list, we have Love Playlist Series. I count it as a series because they have 4 seasons or if I could say it 5 including Dear.M which will release in February this year. If you are new to this series but didn’t want to spend your time watching from the beginning, don’t worry because each season doesn’t relate and they have their own story (even though there is some point of view or scene that doesn’t air on that season).  

In the first season which aired in 2017, telling about Lee Hyunseung (Kim Hyung Suk) – Jung Jiwon (Jung Shin Hye) story and how they become a CC (Campus Couple). It also tells about friendship and trust. Then on season 2 they added 2 new casts and the story has become more interesting. So basically on each season, they added a new cast and they serve us with a different point of view, either it’s the male friend, female friend, or the couple’s break upon each season. The last season of Love Playlist was aired in 2019 and they will make a sequel story with a different title which is Dear.M. But I don’t know if it counted as web-drama because Dear.M will not air through Playlist Channel but KBS channel. The main lead will be played by NCT Jae Hyun and Park Hye Soo.

         2. W.H.Y

The next one we have WHY from Playlist Global. Everyone have you watched 'Extraordinary You'? If yes, then you should know Jung Gun Joo who played Lee Do Hwa, or do you know Han Seo Jun from the popular drama True Beauty played by Hwang In Hyeop? If you remember them, let me tell you that Jung Gun Joo was the main lead of WHY which released in 2018. It's also become Hwang In Hyeop's drama debut. The drama is set in Jeju Island which means you got to see a peaceful view and beautiful ocean even though we never been there but at least we got to see Jeju Island through drama😂 

The main story is about a misunderstanding, friendship, and post-break-up story. W.H.Y. explains each situation and why the characters did that at that moment.

        3. Miss Independent Jieun 
Miss Independent Jieun has 2 episodes and both were published by Dingo K-Drama. You can watch it on youtube for free. If you just watched 'Sweet Home' then you must remember Park Gyu Young, the girl with the black-pink hair. She is the main lead in Miss Independent Jieun Season 1. 

It contains 8 episodes, which at the end of each episode they will give us some tips about how to overcome your struggles. Well, you can tell from the title that in this drama you are not only given the classic love story but the character's journey to balancing her life and surviving her work environment which we all can relate to. Jieun tries her best to be independent and takes on all of her problems in a rational way and thinks things through. She's also not a typical drama girl that falls for men easily and that's why I love this drama because it serves us a new and fresh plot.

Miss Independent Jieun [2018]


For season 2 it's a little bit different from the previous season. Season 2 is college-themed and mainly tells about college life. It contains 16 episodes, 2 times longer than season 1. Played by Kim Shi Eun and late Cha In Ha. But there's not much difference, they still give us small tips at the end of each episode. This season more focused on each character's development and they added new conflict from the main lead's friend. It also tells us about friendship and how everything happens for a reason which represents the life of our reality. I also like the character so much, like they suit it and I think the production team did their best to cast Jieun who has a bright and youthful charm.

Overall for rating, I would like to give:

Miss Independent Jieun Season 2 [2019]


        4. TRAP
Web drama usually tells about a simple plot with bright colors, but TRAP comes out differently. It's more like a thriller with a romantic story and a darker tone. But I think it was just a college drama with a girl played by Woo Da Vi who has a problem with her love life. It has 12 episodes in which Pristin former member Xiyeon and WEi Kim Dong Han starred at this drama.

Actually, I don't really like the female character (Hye Ji) because the writer didn't give her the character development and she always hides behind her friends. However, this drama comes with good OST. You should listen to "Running Through the Night" by Seori and I can guarantee that it's a good song.

TRAP [2020]


        5. The World of My 17 
It aired last year and based on a popular webtoon. It highschool themed which tells about each character's adventures. It includes the relationship between each character, friendship, and also some romantic scenes. The drama is provided by tvn D STORY and has 12 episodes. Starred Oh My Girl's Arin, Ryeoun, Han Chae Kyung, VIINI, and Kim Do Ah. Actually, I was surprised by Arin's acting because she did well and successfully delivered the character well. 
If you want a drama that has fewer romantic scenes and more focused on friendship with youthful stories, then you've got the answer.

The World of My Seventeen [2020]
        6. Go Back Diary 
It comes from Playlist Global again, I don't know but web-drama from Playlist Global is something you should never miss. It's because they have a relatable story with an amazing cast and aesthetic cinematography. Go Back Diary is one of my favorite web-drama that I love to re-watch over and over again. 

It has 4 episodes and it has a flashback story. It's about how a boy and girl become a long-term couple and had to break-up due for some reason. There's also a fact and become a realistic story where all couple could easily relate to them.

        7. I Have Three Boyfriends / Boyfri3nds
If you are a May Day or Day6 fan you will familiar with the female main lead. Yes, it's Kim Ji Eun, she appears in several Day6 music videos like 'What Can I Do?', 'I Loved You', 'When You Love Someone', 'All Alone'. The drama has 10 episodes and you can watch it on Lululala Story Lab's Youtube. It such a nice with an interesting plot (also gorgeous characters). The story is about a girl with three boyfriends as can be seen through the title itself, but don't worry you will discover a fact behind each boyfriend she has. Overall I love the chemistry between each character and how they suit it well.

Halo semuanyaaa. Udah lama banget nih gak update blog karena satu dan lain hal. Dan pertama aku mau ucapin HAPPY NEW YEAR buat kalian semua (ya meskipun telat banget hehe). Melepas Impian ke Jepang Tanpa Penyesalan

Hai semuanya, akhir-akhir ini jarang banget buka blog karena kesibukan didunia perkuliahan maupun diluar perkuliahan. Selain ada kesibukan, aku juga bingung mau nulis tentang apa. Hehe maklum anaknya sangat kekurangan ide. Tapi kali ini aku mau share pengalaman tentang “Melepas Impian ke Jepang Tanpa Penyesalan”. Ini berawal dari kegabutanku selama menunggu pengumuman SBMPTN 2 tahun lalu, yaitu tahun 2017. Sebelumnya aku juga pernah sedikit cerita tentang hal ini di postingan aku tahun lalu. Atau kalian dapat baca-baca dulu postingan aku tahun lalu disini . Nah setelah baca postingan aku diatas, kalian pasti tau kalau aku lolos seleksi tahap ke-3 yaitu tahap wawancara.
